Vocabulary is the cornerstone of learning. It empowers individuals to convey thoughts, learn new concepts, and engage in intellectual growth. Our dedicated resource, the 'Word Bank,' is tailor-made for students, with a focus on enhancing their vocabulary.

Note - You can also write the word in your native language along with Hindi

How to write a word

  • Keep a pencil handy while reading a book or a text.

​

  • Underline the new words that you come across in your text.

​

  • Use a dictionary and write down the meaning of the new words in your textbook.

  • Write all the underlined words in your RESERVE WORD BANK.

​

  • In your main WORD BANK, daily write the meaning of 1 word from the Reserve Word Bank and make a sentence using each word.

​

  • Write the serial numbers for each word.

​

  •  Write the meaning of the word with sentence in English in the respective column.

​

  • In the word column, along with English write the Hindi word which will also help in improving your Hindi vocabulary.

​

  • While learning a new word, follow the SPM rule.

         S - Spelling 
         P - Pronunciation
         M - Meaning ​

         To master a word, check for the correct Spelling, Pronunciation and                                   Meaning.

How to revise the words from your WORDBANK

  • You have to be very consistent in writing down 1 word every day (Monday-Friday) and revising it. On an average you will learn 5 new words in 5 days.

  • Before writing a new word, you should revise the previous words of the current week.

​

  • Conduct a self-test once in a week (Saturday) with your accountable partner.

​

  • Show your word bank to your parents, teachers, friends etc. at least once a week.

Guide to give SELF TEST:

  • Conduct a self-test on every Saturday for the words you have written for the current week.

​

  • Revise the words thoroughly before giving the self-test.

​

  • Make an accountable partner to keep a check on your progress. (e.g., parents, siblings,friends, guardian, etc).

​

  • Rate yourself and revise the words that you did not know the meaning of.

​

  • Keeping a track of your progress in building a strong vocabulary is very important.

Guidelines for PARENTS:

  • Encourage your child to read every day.

​

  • Help them to find the difficult  words and write down their meanings from the dictionary in the WORD BANK.

​

  • Sign your child's WORD BANK once a week. Your interest & trust will encourage your child to develop this habit.

​

  • Try to use the words from the WORD BANK in your conversations with your child.

​

  • Set small goals before them every week & once they complete it successfully, reward them and appreciate their efforts.

  • We Conduct a self-test on every  Saturday on the words which we have given for the current as well as the previous week. This will help the student to revise the words well.
